PICTURE: To Have Or Not To Have, That Is The Question?

This is an age old debate. Should job seekers have their picture on their CV or not?

One argument is, if they do, they risk being pre-judged, unconscious bias.

Realistically speaking, an image of the recruit would have an impact on selection. As previous studies have shown image and first impressions are critical in human resourcing, given that the CV is impressive. Human nature plays a role in this situation, we have to admit that CV’s with no images are similar to blind dates! I have seen Individuals who go way over board with the images that they attach to their resume. That is absolutely not advisable.
